2001 Western Carolina Catamounts football team
The 2001 Western Carolina Catamounts football team represented Western Carolina University in the Southern Conference (SoCon) during the 2001 NCAA Division I-AA football season. In Bill Bleil's fifth year as head coach, the Catamounts finished 7–4 overall and 5–3 in SoCon play, placing fourth in the conference. They played home games at E. J. Whitmire Stadium. Their clash with The Citadel was moved from September 15 to November 17 due to the September 11 attacks.
