The Krause Center for Leadership and Ethics at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, coordinates leadership and ethics programs for cadets. Founded in 2001 with a $2 million gift from L. William Krause and his wife (later expanded with an additional $9 million to grow the program), the center runs The Citadel’s Four-Year Leader Development Model. This model provides leadership training for every cadet, with class-specific courses and experiences such as a Leadership Day of Service and Honor System training. The center is housed behind Bond Hall on campus, and Col. Tom Clark serves as its director.
