Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium
Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium is an indoor sports arena in Yousufguda, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is owned and run by the Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) and has a grass surface. The stadium was built and opened in 2003 and can seat about 2,000 people. It is named after Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy, who served as chief minister of United Andhra Pradesh in 1983 and again from 1992 to 1994. The stadium was inaugurated by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in 2003 and hosted events for the Afro-Asian Games that year. In November 2007, Hyderabad's biggest roller skating rink, a 100-meter flat track, opened at the stadium. It was built by SATS for skaters trained by Abbas Iqbal Lasania, a national roller skating champion and international coach. The rink has helped many skaters, including Shraddha Reddy, to compete at national and international levels. The venue offers coaching in badminton, basketball, gymnastics, martial arts, skating and boxing, with morning and evening sessions for a nominal fee. It has hosted events such as the All India Chess Tournament in January 2022 and January 2023, and the largest May Day celebration organized by the Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation in 2022. It was also used as a counting venue for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
