Lachlan Sharp
Lachlan Thomas Sharp (born 2 July 1997) is an Australian field hockey player who can play as a midfielder or forward. He was born in Lithgow, New South Wales, and Made his senior international debut for Australia in 2016-17 at the Hockey World League Final in Bhubaneswar, India.
As a junior, Sharp played for The Burras at the 2016 Hockey Junior World Cup in India, where the team finished fourth. In 2018, he was part of the Australian squad that won gold at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, defeating New Zealand 2–0 in the final.
Sharp was selected for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics (held in 2021), where Australia reached the final for the first time since 2004 but lost to Belgium in a shootout.
He has played for clubs in the Netherlands and Australia, including Amsterdam HBC, NSW Pride, and Ryde Hunters Hill. As of August 2021, he had 55 caps and 12 goals for the Australian national team.
