Bit Managers was a private video game developer based in Barcelona, Spain. It began in 1988 as New Frontier, founded by Alberto Jose González and others. At first they made games for ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC and MSX, but they had limited success. In 1992 the company changed its name to Bit Managers and started making games for Nintendo systems, especially Game Boy. They produced titles based on Franco-Belgian comics for Infogrames, including Asterix, The Smurfs and The Adventures of Tintin.

In 1997 Acclaim hired them to develop some Turok games for Game Boy. In 1998, with the Game Boy Color launch, Bit Managers was the first third-party to finish two Game Boy Color titles: Turok 2 and Sylvester & Tweety. That same year, Gaelco, a Spanish arcade company, bought Bit Managers. Bit Managers also ported Gaelco’s Radical Bikers to PlayStation. In 2001 the original principals repurchased the company. They continued working with Infogrames on Game Boy Advance titles. In 2005 Virtual Toys bought Bit Managers, making it a subsidiary of Virtual Toys Barcelona.

Bang! is Gaelco’s wild west arcade game released in 1998; it featured cartoon graphics and supported single-player, two-player, and light-gun input. González did not compose its music.
