Konglungenoceras
Konglungenoceras is an extinct early Silurian nautiloid from Norway, Europe. It belongs to the order Discosorida and the Cyrtogomphoceratidae family. The shell is strongly compressed and endogastric, so the ventral side curves inward and the height is greater than the width. It lacks the septal foramina grasping bullettes at the adapical end of the connecting rings. Inside the siphuncle, the apical portion has thick overlapping parietal laminae forming endocones, similar to Discosorus and Alpenoceras. Its exact ancestry is unknown, but the siphuncle features and age suggest a closer relationship to the Discosoridae.
