S.N.G is the second studio album by Taiwanese singer Nick Chou, released on May 30, 2012 by Gold Typhoon. It is a Mandarin-language album that blends C-pop, R&B, and dance, with a total length of 43 minutes and 27 seconds. This was Chou’s first album with Gold Typhoon after leaving Warner Music Taiwan, and it came about two years after his 2010 debut.

Chou wrote all the songs on the album, handling composing, arranging, and producing. He spent about a year writing and selected tracks from around 200 songs. Some songs, including “Heartache,” “One Out Of A Million,” and the title track “S.N.G,” were featured on the official soundtrack for his TV series I Love You so Much, released on April 17, 2012.

The title track S.N.G stands for “Super Nice Girl” and is an R&B song about searching for a girlfriend, though Chou says he isn’t currently looking for a relationship and would rather spend time with his mother.

Other songs include “This is Your Song,” a soothing vocal showcase; “Internal Injury,” written by David Ke; and “Maji Maji,” which is dedicated to his mother. The track “Heartache” (內傷) was reportedly written after his breakup with Elva Hsiao in October 2010, though Chou says he writes about life rather than just relationships.

Preorders began on May 15, and the label organized a concert at Legacy on June 16 after preorder sales reached about 15,000 copies. Chou also held a mini-concert the night before the album’s release to preview some of the new songs.
