Kim Kyong-yong
Kim Kyong-yong (born January 2, 2002 in Pyongyang) is a North Korean football forward who plays for Naegohyang Sport Club and the North Korea women's national team. She started playing football at age nine and joined Naegohyang in 2014.
She has represented North Korea in international youth tournaments, playing at the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup and the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. In the 2021–22 season, she helped Naegohyang win the DPR Korea Women’s Premier League and finished as the top scorer with 22 goals.
Kim played for North Korea’s U-16 and U-19 teams, finishing runners-up in the 2017 AFC U-16 Women’s Championship and the 2019 AFC U-19 Women’s Championship. She was a standout scorer in the U-16 event, achieving one of the competition’s highest individual tallies.
She made her senior national team debut on September 24, 2022, against Singapore at the Asian Games. She was a key player as North Korea reached the 2022 Asian Games final, scoring 11 goals in four games, including five goals in the second leg against Singapore and another five-goal performance against Uzbekistan in the semi-finals.
For the North Korea national team since 2023, she has 18 appearances and 26 goals.
