Sean Doolittle (born 1971 in Nebraska) is an American author who writes crime and suspense fiction. He grew up in southeastern Nebraska and began publishing short stories while studying at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. His debut novel, Dirt (UglyTown, 2001), marked his move into crime fiction and appeared on Amazon’s Best Books of the Year list. His follow-up, Burn (UglyTown, 2003), was reissued in paperback by Random House/Bantam Dell. Bantam Dell later published his next four crime novels, earning praise from major publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Chicago Sun-Times, and People. His books have been translated into Brazilian Portuguese, French, Dutch, and Polish. His work has earned awards such as the ITW Thriller Award and the Barry Award.
