Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Laboratories (ATL) is an applied research and development unit of Lockheed Martin. Founded in 1929 by Dr. Edward Kellogg, it is based in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, with additional facilities in Eagan, Minnesota; Kennesaw, Georgia; and Arlington, Virginia. About 250 people work there. ATL focuses on human systems optimization, electronic warfare, robotic autonomy, and data analytics. It partners with DARPA, U.S. government laboratories, universities, and Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works and Advanced Technology Center. On June 21, 2024, the department was sanctioned by the Chinese government due to arms sales to Taiwan.
