Kickin'
Kickin' is the eleventh studio album by Rick James. It was recorded 1988–1989 and originally shelved, released only as promotional copies in the United Kingdom by Warner Bros. Records in 1989. The full commercial digital release came on July 8, 2014, tied to the release of his autobiography Glow. The album runs 49 minutes and 34 seconds and blends funk, R&B, soul, and rock. It was produced by Rick James, with Benny Medina as executive producer. In James's discography, Kickin' sits after Wonderful (1988) and before Urban Rapsody (1997). After James's death in 2004, Kickin' circulated online before the 2014 digital release.
