Robert Archibald Simpson (April 5, 1910 – September 24, 1998) was a politician from Alberta, Canada. He was born in Toronto.

In federal politics, Simpson ran as a Social Credit candidate in Calgary North in 1962 and finished second to the sitting member by about 6,000 votes. He ran again in 1963 and lost by a wider margin.

He then moved to provincial politics. In 1963 he won a seat in the Alberta Legislative Assembly for Calgary North as a Social Credit member. He was re-elected in 1967, defeating Henry Beaumont of the Progressive Conservatives by about 400 votes.

In 1971, Calgary North was abolished, and Simpson ran in the new riding of Calgary North Hill. He lost by 67 votes to Roy Farran of the Progressive Conservatives. He tried to win the seat back in 1975 but was defeated in a landslide.

Simpson also served on the Calgary city council from 1971 to 1980.
