Sant'Ugo
Sant’Ugo is a Catholic church and titular church in the northern Rome suburb of Val Melaina. It is dedicated to Saint Hugh of Châteauneuf (1053–1132). Construction began in 1989 and the church was completed in 1991; it was consecrated on 14 December 1991. The building is modern and brutalist in style. On 26 November 1994, Sant’Ugo was made a titular church, meaning a cardinal-priest holds the title here. In 2000, mosaics of the Deesis by Centro Aletti were added. It is part of the Diocese of Rome.
