Scarabaeus puncticollis
Scarabaeus puncticollis is a dung beetle in the Scarabaeidae family. It has a row of small punctures along the base of the pronotum and a head with six ray-like projections. The front legs have four extra projections on each tibia; these, along with the leg shapes, help it dig and form dung balls. The mid- and hind legs have normal five-segment tarsi. This beetle feeds exclusively on dung. It is found in Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Portugal, Spain, and North Africa.
