Kevin Brown (running back)
Kevin Brown (born October 9, 1996) is an American football running back who has played in the Canadian Football League. He’s from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and played high school football at Wando. He started at Highland Community College and then played for the Incarnate Word Cardinals from 2019 to 2021.
Brown signed with the Edmonton Elks in 2022 and was named the team’s Most Outstanding Rookie that year. In 2023 he had a strong season, appearing in all 18 games and rushing for 1,141 yards on 186 carries with four rushing touchdowns, plus 222 receiving yards on 28 catches with one receiving TD. He earned CFL Honour Roll honours in Week 15 after a 175-yard game against Saskatchewan. In 2024 he played 12 games, with 522 rushing yards and 138 receiving yards, but lost his starter role late in the season and finished on the practice roster as his contract expired.
Brown signed with the Toronto Argonauts in December 2024, was cut in June 2025 and re-signed the same month. He played three regular-season games for Toronto in 2025, with 18 carries for 37 yards and one rushing touchdown. He signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in August 2025 and played one game (two carries for 13 yards) before spending the rest of the year on the practice roster; his contract expired November 9, 2025.
