Erections, Ejaculations, Exhibitions, and General Tales of Ordinary Madness is a paperback collection of Charles Bukowski's short stories. It was first published in 1972 by City Lights Publishers in the United States and was Bukowski's first collection of stories. In 1983 it was republished in two volumes, Tales of Ordinary Madness and The Most Beautiful Woman in Town. Lawrence Ferlinghetti, owner of City Lights, published the collection and helped establish Bukowski as a short-story writer. The book is dedicated to Bukowski's girlfriend, Linda King, a poet and sculptor. The stories originally appeared in underground newspapers such as Berkeley Barb and Open City, as well as men's magazines including Adam, and in literary reviews like Nova Express.
