Kenichi Ego
Kenichi Ego (Ego Kenichi; born June 7, 1979) is a former Japanese football midfielder from Hyogo Prefecture. He is 1.72 meters tall. After playing for Nagoya Grampus Eight in youth (1995–1997) and studying at Juntendo University (1998–2001), he began his professional career in 2002 with Ventforet Kofu in the J2 League. He made his league debut on July 10, 2002, as a substitute against Sagan Tosu, and played only one match that season.
From 2003 to 2005 he played for SC Tottori in the Japan Football League, becoming a regular and scoring 18 goals in 80 appearances. In 2006 he moved to Ehime FC, a club newly promoted to J2, where he played regularly again, making 123 appearances and scoring 6 goals over five seasons. His playing time decreased in 2009, and he retired after the 2010 season. In total, Ego had 204 senior appearances and 24 goals.
