Daisuke Sekimoto is a Japanese professional wrestler from Osaka. He currently wrestles for Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW) in the Strong BJ division and has appeared in many other promotions around the world.

Growing up, Sekimoto played baseball at Meitoku Gijuku High School and was inspired by Daisuke Matsuzaka. After high school, he decided to become a pro wrestler and joined BJW. He made his debut in 1999 and won his first match in 2000. His early years included forming a successful tag team with Teioh and winning the BJW Tag Team Championship in 2001, along with other tag titles.

Sekimoto has won many big singles titles, including the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship (three times), the NWA Pan-Pacific Premium Heavyweight Championship (one time), the wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship (one time), and the Zero1 World Heavyweight Championship (two times). He’s also held multiple tag team titles across promotions: the AJPW World Tag Team Championship (three times), the All Asia Tag Team Championship (two times), the BJW Tag Team Championship (twelve times), and the KO-D Tag Team Championship (two times). His most famous tag team partner is Yuji Okabayashi.

In addition to BJW, Sekimoto has competed all over the world. He has appeared in IWA East Coast, IWA Mid-South, Chikara, Combat Zone Wrestling, Evolve, and Westside Xtreme Wrestling, among others. He’s also spent time in All Japan Pro Wrestling, where he joined in 2011 and later won the World Tag Team Championship in 2016. That same year, he won All Japan’s Champion Carnival.

Sekimoto’s career is known for his tough, heavyweight style and his success in both singles and tag team competition across many promotions. He remains one of Japan’s leading strong-style wrestlers.
