Junqan
Junqan is a city in Iran. It is the capital of Junqan District in Farsan County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province. The population was 14,433 in 2016.
Three languages are spoken in Junqan: Turkic, Bakhtiari, and Persian. Turkic is the most common first language, especially at home and in daily life, but most residents can also speak Bakhtiari and Persian. Persian is the official language of the country, and more people are using Persian as their first language at home over time.
In 2006, Junqan had 14,660 people in 3,437 households and was part of the Central District. By 2011, the population was 14,800 in 3,933 households, and Junqan District had been created, separating from the Central District. The 2016 census counted 14,433 people in 4,154 households.
