Kat Richardson
Kat Richardson (born May 22, 1964, in California) is an American novelist best known for her Greywalker urban fantasy series. She has published work in other media as well, including role-playing games, video games, comics, magazines, and as a technical and curriculum writer and editor. She is married and lives in Seattle, Washington, and she supports California ferret legalization.
Her Greywalker series follows Harper Blaine, a Seattle private investigator who dies briefly during a case and is brought back to life. After recovery, she can see witches, vampires, ghosts, and other supernatural beings. She learns that her brief death has turned her into a Greywalker, a person who can move back and forth between the human world and the Grey, a realm between this world and the next. The series currently consists of nine novels, and the ninth book suggests it may be the last Greywalker story for now.
