Kaliua District is one of seven districts in Tanzania’s Tabora Region. It was established in 2012, and its administrative seat is Kaliua town.

Geography
- Area: 14,050 square kilometers; elevation about 1,105 meters above sea level
- Borders: north by Kahama and Ushetu Districts; east by Uyui and Urambo Districts; south by Katavi Region; west by Uvinza District and Geita Region

Transport
- The T18 trunk road from Tabora to Kigoma passes through the district
- The Central Line railway from Dar es Salaam to Kigoma passes through Kaliua, with a branch to Mpanda diverging at Kaliua town
