Paramashiva is a 2014 Kannada-language musical drama directed by Mahesh Babu and produced by Anaji Nagaraj under Veera Films. It stars V. Ravichandran, Sakshi Sivanand, Saranya Mohan and Vijay Raghavendra. The story centers on the close bond between three brothers—Shiva, Raghu, and Shankar—and their unwavering love for their sister Swati, as life brings emotional challenges. Swati marries a clever, wealthy man with hidden motives, testing the family’s unity. The film is a remake of the Tamil film Samudhiram (2001), with a subplot borrowed from Simmarasi (1998); its structure mirrors the pattern seen in the 2002 Telugu film Siva Rama Raju.

Paramashiva was originally planned for release in 2011 but was delayed due to the producer’s other commitments, eventually releasing on 12 September 2014. The music, including songs and score, was composed by Arjun Janya. The crew also includes cinematography by Anaji Nagaraj and editing by Vinod Manohar. The film runs for 140 minutes.

Reception was mixed to negative: Bangalore Mirror noted disappointment for fans of a star movie, while The New Indian Express remarked that Paramashiva feels a decade late and suggested skipping it for those who enjoyed Ravichandran in Drishya.
