2007 Gloucester City Council election
The election was held on 3 May 2007 to elect 11 of the 36 council seats. The council remained under no overall control, meaning no single party had a majority. Before the election, Conservative Mark Hawthorne was the council leader but did not stand for re-election. After the results, Paul James became leader, heading a Conservative minority administration.
Seat changes:
- Conservative: 15 seats (down from 16)
- Labour: 9 seats (up from 8)
- Liberal Democrats: 12 seats (no change)
Majority required: 19 seats.
