Junko Mabuki, born Sumiko Kono on February 22, 1955, in Oita Prefecture, Japan, is a retired pink film actress who became famous in Nikkatsu’s Roman Porno films, especially in 1981. She began acting by 1979 in Aftermath of Battles Without Honor and Humanity under the name Jun Sakaki, and soon signed an exclusive contract with Nikkatsu as Junko Mabuki. The S&M writer Oniroku Dan approved of her and wrote her first leading role in White Uniform in Rope Hell (1980) for her. After Naomi Tani retired in 1979, Mabuki was promoted by Nikkatsu as their new "SM Queen." Although Dan admired her energy on screen and in real life, Mabuki could not handle the physical demands of S&M roles and left acting after about two years. Four of Dan’s stories were later published in English in 2010 as Season of Infidelity; the collection’s last story, Bewitching Bloom, mentions Mabuki along with other Nikkatsu Queens.
