Benedikt Frey (born 25 August 1930) is a Swiss former footballer who played as a midfielder in the 1950s. He joined FC Basel's first team for the 1953–54 season under coach René Bader. After four test matches, he made his league debut on 7 March 1954, in a 2–2 draw with FC Bern. He spent the 1954–55 season playing for the company team Chemical Industry Basel (CIBA), then returned to Basel for the 1956–57 season. In total, Frey played 12 games for Basel (7 in the top Swiss league and 5 friendlies) and did not score a goal. After his time with Basel, he moved on to Young Fellows Zürich.
