Gary P. Nolan was born in 1954 in Cleveland, Ohio. He is an American talk radio host and a former Libertarian presidential candidate.

He hosted USA Radio Daily from 1994 to 1998 and Nolan at Night from 1998 to 2002. He led CapitolWatch from 1997 to 1999 and serves as chairman of DownsizeDC.org. In late 2002, he left Nolan at Night to run for the Libertarian nomination, facing Michael Badnarik and Aaron Russo. He resigned from his radio show because a law prohibits candidates from earning income during a campaign. His campaign aimed to reach moderates and Republicans unhappy with George W. Bush, especially in Ohio. He opposed the Patriot Act, the income tax, and foreign military bases, and called for bringing home troops. He led in primaries and state conventions for much of the race, with a strong lead in Ohio, but finished third at the May 2004 Libertarian National Convention and urged delegates to back Badnarik, who won on the next ballot.

After politics, he hosted The Drive with Gary Nolan on KSSZ The Eagle 93.9 in Columbia, Missouri. In February 2010 he began hosting WXTL’s Big Talker 105.9 in Syracuse, New York from 4 to 7 pm, and in April 2011 he left WXTL to return to KSSZ for a nationally syndicated program.
