José Aguinaga
José Luis Aguinaga Morinigo (born May 11, 1995) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a midfielder. He was born in Madrid and trained in the youth systems of Rayo Vallecano, Real Madrid and Getafe. He then played college soccer at Rider University from 2014 to 2017, making 76 appearances, scoring 18 goals and delivering 32 assists. While at Rider, he also played for Premier Development League teams Seattle Sounders FC U-23 and New York Red Bulls U-23.
In the 2018 MLS SuperDraft, he was selected by New York Red Bulls in the fourth round (85th overall) and signed with NY Red Bulls II in March 2018. He debuted for NYRB II on March 31, 2018, scored his first goal on April 7, and started again on April 14 with another goal. He signed with Phoenix Rising FC in December 2018. In January 2021, he joined El Paso Locomotive, where he played 19 games in 2021 before leaving the club after the season.
