Shad Murib
Shad Murib (born June 14, 1987) is an American politician from Colorado who serves as the chair of the Colorado Democratic Party. He has held the position since April 1, 2023, taking over from Morgan Carroll.
Murib grew up in Littleton, Colorado, and is a first-generation American with Lebanese immigrant parents. He earned a BA from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
He began in politics in 2004 by volunteering for John Kerry’s presidential campaign. He later worked for Senator John Hickenlooper as Outreach Director on his campaign and then joined Hickenlooper’s office after the election.
Outside politics, Murib runs Copper Bar Ranch and owns a consulting firm called Ulysses Strategies. He is married to Kerry Donovan, whom he met while working on her Colorado State Senate campaign in 2018.
