Jomon is an Indian screenwriter and director in Malayalam cinema. He has worked since 1990. His first film as a director was Samrajyam (1990) with Mammootty, which was a big hit and released in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. Before that, he worked as an assistant director on films like Aalkkoottathil Thaniye, Uyarangalil, Adiyozhukkukal, 1921, and Douthyam. Samrajyam became one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of its time, running more than 200 days in Kerala and over 400 days in Andhra Pradesh. Another successful film of his is Jackpot, with Mammootty in the lead. He is married to a lecturer and has two children.
