Kerala Urban Road Transport Corporation (KURTC) was a state-run bus service in Kerala, operated by the Government of Kerala. It started in 2015 with over 500 low-floor buses (AC and non-AC) and had its headquarters in Thevara, Kochi. KURTC served the whole state with local, limited-stop, express, and BRT-style services. In Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam, it ran direct services, while the remaining 12 districts were divided into five clusters: Cluster I – Kozhikode, Wayanad, Malappuram; Cluster II – Kottayam, Thodupuzha, Pathanamthitta; Cluster III – Kannur, Kasaragod; Cluster IV – Thrissur, Palakkad; Cluster V – Kollam, Alappuzha. The buses were funded with financial help from the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) and KURTC had its own account and logo.

The COVID-19 pandemic hurt its profitability and use, leaving only 97 buses in operation, of which 70 were later transferred to the City Circular Bus service. In 2022, KURTC shut down all operations, and its website closed, marking the end of an era of affordable transport in Kerala.
