The Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan (ICSP) is a professional body in Karachi, established on 22 November 1973. It is the only recognized organization in Pakistan that trains and certifies corporate secretaries, offering education in corporate and business laws, governance, accounting, administration, management, human resources, ethics, and information technology.

ICSP currently has about 750 members, including 350 fellows, and is managed by a National Council. The institute aims to foster a strong corporate culture by providing quality professional education and practice.

Affiliations include ICAP, ICMAP, SECP, IFC, AIA, CIMA, and CIIA.

Admission and exams:
- Minimum qualification: bachelor’s degree or equivalent; applicants must be at least 18 years old to register as a student.
- A student can register for up to five years and must pass the final examination within that period.
- Registration as a student costs Rs 3,250, payable by bank draft or pay order.
- Exams are held semiannually in January and July in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, with potential centers in other cities. Registration for exams is open year-round.
- Those registered by May can sit for the July exam, and those registered by November can sit for the January exam.

To become a member, you must pass the ICSP final examination. The institute offers exemptions for certain qualifications, including chartered accountants, cost and management accountants, MBAs, and others. Currently, ICAP and CMA Pakistan members receive exemptions in modules A and B (nine of thirteen papers).

ICSP’s mission is to examine, groom, and promote high-quality corporate secretaries who can meet current and future professional demands. It is a non-profit organization that provides affordable professional education.
