John Eves
John Robert Eves (28 February 1922 – 2007), also known as Bobby Eves, was an English footballer who played as a full back. Born in Sunderland, he began his career with Sunderland and appeared in wartime competitions, including the 1942 War Cup Final. He did not play for Sunderland in the post-war league. After the war, he joined Darlington, where he made 177 league appearances and scored one goal from 1946 to 1952. He died in 2007 in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, at about 84 or 85 years old.
