Gen. T. de Leon National High School

Gen. T. de Leon National High School (GTDNHS) is a public high school in Valenzuela City, Metro Manila, Philippines. It opened in 1969 as the Gen. T. de Leon Annex of Valenzuela Municipal High School and became fully independent in 1997.

Location: Mercado Street near the T. Bugallon Bridge in Barangay Gen. T. de Leon. The school moved from the Gen. T. de Leon Elementary School site and a Tañada subdivision before settling at its current campus.

Leadership: The first chairperson was Ana D. Cruz. Later leaders included Rosario Tolentino-Santos, Adalia Villasfer, Bernardina Echaluce (officer-in-charge), Julita Cayanan, Efren H. Tanfelix, and Salvacion V. David, who became principal in 2005. Under David and the Local School Board, the school expanded and moved to its larger Mercado Street campus. A new building was completed around 2007, with another expansion in 2008. In 2024, San Miguel Corporation donated seven parcels of land (each about 4,305 square meters) to expand GTDNHS, to serve about 6,169 students.

Grade levels: 7 to 12. Class size and student-teacher ratio are about 50 students per class and about 50:1, respectively. Languages: English and Filipino.

Facilities: A four-story main building with classrooms, a library, computer lab, garden, AV rooms, a cafeteria, and a covered court used for events and sports. The campus is in an urban area near the North Luzon Expressway.

Academics: Seven departments — Science, English, Mathematics, Filipino, Araling Panlipunan (Social Studies), TLE (Technology and Livelihood Education), and MAPEH (Music, Arts, Physical Education & Health). Publications include The Genzette (English) and Ang Daluyan (Tagalog); the yearbook is Genzette.
