Tony Yike Yang (born December 7, 1998) is a Canadian-Chinese pianist from Chongqing, China. He moved with his family to Toronto in 2004 and started piano at age five with his mother. He later studied at Juilliard Pre-College on a full scholarship with Julian Martin, and at The Royal Conservatory of Music’s Taylor Performance Academy with James Anagnoson.

Yang earned a BA in Economics from Harvard University and is an Artist-in-Residence at the Ingesund Piano Center in Sweden, studying with Julia Mustonen-Dahlkvist.

As a soloist, he has performed with ensembles such as the Cleveland Orchestra, Warsaw Philharmonic, Orchestre Métropolitain, Fort Worth Symphony, and the Edmonton Symphony. He has appeared at venues including Carnegie Hall in New York, Koerner Hall in Toronto, and many major halls around the world.

In 2015, at age 16, Yang won the Fifth Prize at the 17th International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, becoming the youngest laureate in the contest’s history. He also won the 2014 Thomas & Evon Cooper International Competition and the 2013 Bösendorfer & Yamaha USASU International Junior Piano Competition, along with top prizes at other competitions such as Hilton Head and the Gina Bachauer International Junior Piano Competition.
