Jessica Lucas
Jessica Lucas is a Canadian actress from Vancouver, born on September 24, 1985. She is best known for TV shows like The Resident, Edgemont, Melrose Place, Cult, and Gotham, and for films such as The Covenant, Cloverfield, and Evil Dead (2013). She also appeared in Coldplay’s True Love music video.
Her father is Black Canadian and her mother is European Canadian. Lucas began acting at seven years old and trained at the Children’s Arts Theatre School in Toronto. She started in stage productions, including Snow White, Grease, Cinderella, Mousetrap, and Music Medley.
Her TV career took off with Edgemont (Bekka Lawrence) from 2001 to 2005. She also appeared in YTV’s 2030 CE, The L Word, and Life as We Know It, and had film roles in She's the Man and The Covenant. She acted in a pilot called Secrets of a Small Town, and had a recurring role on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2007. She starred in the TV movie Split Decision.
In 2008, she guest-starred on 90210 and played Lily in Cloverfield. She led the CW’s Melrose Place as Riley Richmond. She appeared in Friends with Benefits (2011) and Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son (2011). In 2012 she led Cult as Skye Yarrow, and in 2013 she starred in the remake of The Evil Dead. She appeared in Pompeii (2014). From 2015 to 2019, she played Tabitha Galavan in Gotham. In 2019 she starred in The Murders on Citytv as Kate Jameson, and in 2020 joined The Resident as Billie.
Personal life: Lucas announced her engagement to Alex Jermasek in April 2017. They are married and have two children.
