Tymofiy Morokhovets
Tymofiy Morokhovets (born November 16, 1983) is a Ukrainian musician, singer, songwriter, and the founder of the band PanKe Shava. He writes all the songs for PanKe Shava. He was born in Polyove, in the Smolensk region of Russia, to a family of public servants. He studied at the Academy of Municipal Administration on a presidential scholarship and earned a master’s degree in jurisprudence. He has worked as a journalist, a presenter at events and concerts, and led the legal department of Sundara LTD from 2005 to 2007.
Morokhovets has been active in social and cultural projects for many years. He owned the Povitryanyi zmiy (The Kite) art agency and, since 2008, led the Conceptual Art Workshop NGO, organized festivals, hosted radio programs and concerts, and ran the Because Records studio. He served as the art director of Woodstock Ukraine starting in 2013. Although trained in percussion, he performs on stage as a guitarist and vocalist. He formed his first band, Povitryanyi zmiy, in 2003 with Vyacheslav Boroday and Andrew “Jordan” Cherkasov. In 2008 he founded PanKe Shava, which has moved from Lviv to Poltava and is now based in Kyiv.
