Jeremaine Copeland

Jeremaine Copeland is a former American football wide receiver who played mainly in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and also spent time in the XFL and NFL Europe. He was born on February 19, 1977, in Harriman, Tennessee, and went to Harriman High School. He played college football at the University of Tennessee, where he helped the Volunteers win the 1998 national championship.

Professional career
- NFL Europe: Barcelona Dragons in 2000, where he led the team with 74 receptions for 821 yards and 6 touchdowns.
- XFL: Los Angeles Xtreme in 2001, winning the league’s championship and catching a 19-yard touchdown in the final.
- CFL: Montreal Alouettes (2001–2004). In 2003 he had 99 receptions for 1,757 yards and, with teammate Ben Cahoon, helped set a CFL record for most receiving yards by two players (3,318 yards combined). In 2004 he was one of four Alouettes receivers with more than 1,000 yards.
- Calgary Stampeders (2005–2009). Copeland became known for his entertaining touchdown celebrations and helped the team win the Grey Cup in 2008.
- Toronto Argonauts (2010–2011). He was traded to Toronto in 2010 and served as an offensive leader for the team.

Copeland retired from professional football in January 2012 after 11 seasons. He later returned to coaching, serving as the wide receivers coach for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2012, then joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders as their receivers coach in 2015. He was announced as a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Copeland is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighed about 202 pounds during his playing days.
