Dhapai, Kapurthala
Dhapai is a village in Kapurthala district, Punjab, India. It is about 8 km from Kapurthala town, the district headquarters. The village is administered by a Gram Panchayat led by an elected Sarpanch.
According to the 2011 Census, Dhapai has 1,208 residents living in 265 households: 635 men and 573 women. The literacy rate is 81.8%, higher than the Punjab state average of 75.8%. There are 106 children under 6 years old, and the child sex ratio is about 536 girls per 1,000 boys, lower than the state average of 846. About 27.4% of residents belong to Scheduled Castes; there are no Scheduled Tribes.
