James Dixon House
James Dixon House, also known as Military View Farm, is a historic two-story farmhouse near Milford, Kansas. It was the home of James Thomas Dixon, a farmer, cattle raiser, and local postmaster. Construction began in the 1870s, and the Dixon family moved in in 1880. The house was built from rusticated limestone blocks at a cost of about $10,000 and features an Italianate design. It sits on a hill overlooking Fort Riley, which gave it the nickname Military View Farm. The house was restored in 1993–1994 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 1, 1998.
