A Highland Song
A Highland Song is a single-player adventure and platformer game by the British studio Inkle. It was released for Microsoft Windows and Nintendo Switch on December 5, 2023, and it runs on the Unity engine. Players control Moira McKinnon, a teenager who runs away from her family home near the Scottish Highlands after receiving a letter from her uncle Hamish asking her to visit him on the coast. The game was announced on February 11, 2022. TechRadar said the game has immersive environments and strong musical moments, but it is short and can be frustrating at times. At the 2024 Independent Games Festival, it was nominated for the Seumas McNally Grand Prize as well as for excellence in audio and narrative.
