Ivan Brajović
Ivan Brajović (born 9 March 1962 in Titograd, PR Montenegro, Yugoslavia) is a Montenegrin politician and founder and president of the Social Democrats of Montenegro (SD). He has served as President of the Montenegrin Parliament (24 November 2016 – 23 September 2020) and as a government minister in several posts.

Education and early life
- He studied civil engineering at the Veljko Vlahović University (now part of the University of Montenegro).
- He grew up in Danilovgrad and was involved in local politics, youth organizations, and municipal work in Danilovgrad.
Political involvement
- In 1990, with Montenegro’s move to multi-party politics, he helped found the Union of Reform Forces for Montenegro and the Social Democratic Party of Montenegro (SDP).
- He served as Secretary of the SDP’s Executive Board and Vice President of the party.
- In 2015, he helped form the Social Democrats of Montenegro (SD) after a split from the SDP led by Ranko Krivokapić. He became the SD’s leader.
Election results
- In the 2020 parliamentary election, Brajović’s party won about 4.1% of the vote, earning three seats in Parliament.
