Filomena Barros dos Reis is an East Timorese justice activist. She helped start FOKUPERS (Forum Komunikasaun ba Feto Timor) in 1997, a group that works for women’s rights and health. She later joined the East Timor Action Network (ETAN) and speaks around the world about violence against East Timorese women. She also served as the project coordinator for peace-building development with the Asia Pacific Support Collective in Timor-Leste. In 2011, she was one of the first recipients of the N-Peace Award.
