Elachista albicapitella is a small moth from the Elachistidae family. It lives in parts of North America, including Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Nova Scotia. The wingspan is about 8–9 millimeters. Adults are active in February and from May to July. The larvae feed on the grass Poa sylvestris and mine the leaves of this plant, with mining larvae typically found in early spring.
