The Initiative for Inclusive Feminism (IFI), also known as Inclusive Feminism, is a Norwegian organization that fights for human rights and an inclusive, intersectional approach to feminism. It believes feminism should include everyone, regardless of gender, sexuality, race, disability, or social background.

IFI grew out of a wider movement called Inclusive Feminism. In 2020 a Call for Inclusive Feminism gathered thousands of feminists from across Norway, calling for a trans-inclusive, rights-based approach. The network was formalized as IFI in 2022.

One of IFI’s main activities is organizing Inclusive March 8 in Oslo for International Women’s Day, in collaboration with Amnesty International Norway and several partner groups. The event is open to all genders and aims to stand against racism, transphobia, homophobia, fascism, and ableism. The march is usually held at Eidsvolls plass near the Parliament, with 2025 events at a different central Oslo location.

IFI describes feminism as a universal, human-rights project rooted in solidarity and intersectionality. It is led by Marianne Støle-Nilsen and includes members of all genders. The organization positions itself within the third and fourth waves of feminism and sees itself as part of a broader global shift toward inclusive, rights-based activism.

In 2025 IFI helped promote a consensus statement: “No feminism without trans people: We stand together for an inclusive feminism,” endorsed by about 25 feminist organizations and academic groups. IFI also runs a human rights project and has participated in international forums, such as the UN Human Rights Council, to defend the rights of women and gender minorities.

IFI’s heart-shaped logo reflects its values of love, inclusion, and care. The group aims to strengthen a diverse, solidarity-based feminist movement across Norway, continuing a long tradition of feminist work that centers human rights for everyone.
