Cristóbal de Vera (1577–1621) was a Spanish painter from Córdoba. He probably studied with Pablo de Céspedes. In 1602 he moved to Castile and became a lay brother of the Hieronymites at Lupiana, near Granada. There he painted eight Stations of the Cross for the cloister.

His nephew, Juan de Vera, who was also a painter, visited Cristóbal while Juan was starting his novitiate at the Monastery of La Sisla near Toledo. Juan left the monastery to join the world, but Cristóbal stayed and painted two altarpieces for the church: St. Jerome and St. Mary Magdalene. Cristóbal died soon afterward at La Sisla and was buried in the monastic cemetery.

The Lupiana community remembered him as a pious and dedicated monk who preferred to study and work at night, rarely seen during the day.
