I Don't Play That is a promotional single by La Toya Jackson. It was released to radio on January 29, 2007, after being recorded in 2006. The song blends pop, R&B, and rock and runs 3 minutes and 37 seconds in the radio edit. It was released by Ja-Tail Records and was written by La Toya Jackson, Jeffré Phillips, Thom Frood, David Frood, and Michael Hoffman, with Jeffré Phillips also producing the track.

The single was originally titled Armed and Famous, a reference to the reality TV series Jackson starred in at the time. After the show was cancelled, the song was retitled I Don't Play That. The promo cover was released on February 18, 2007.

In its original concept, Armed and Famous followed Jackson through basic training as a reserve officer for the Muncie, Indiana police department. The song’s gritty lyrics depict a scene of domestic violence, reflecting Jackson’s interest in victims’ rights. Police Chief Joe Winkle said the song could be positive if it raised awareness of the issue. The lyrics describe a wife who is abused by her husband.

The track was co-written and produced by Jeffré Phillips, Jackson’s manager and Ja-Tail Records owner. Background vocals are by Genevieve Jackson, the daughter of La Toya’s brother Randy. Before its cancellation, the single was remixed for clubs by Matt Moss and Jared Jones of Vibelicious.
