Hypochaeris microcephala
Hypochaeris microcephala, commonly known as the smallhead cat's ear, is a perennial herb in the daisy family. It grows from a thick taproot and a woody base. Some leaves form a cluster at the base, while others grow up the stem. A plant can produce 1 to 13 flower heads, each with 50–100 white ray flowers and no disc flowers. It is native to South America (Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay) and has become naturalized in parts of North America, including Texas and Louisiana.
