1987–88 Campionato Sammarinese di Calcio was the 3rd season of San Marino’s top football league. Ten teams competed. S.P. Tre Fiori finished the regular season in first place with 25 points, ahead of S.S. Folgore/Falciano (23), S.C. Faetano (21), A.C. Libertas (20), S.P. Domagnano (19), S.P. La Fiorita (18), S.S. Dogana (18), S.S. Montevito (16), S.S. Murata (14), and S.P. Cailungo (5). Murata and Cailungo were relegated to Serie A2.
Championship playoffs
- First round: A.C. Libertas defeated S.S. Virtus 5–1; S.C. Faetano and S.S. San Giovanni drew 0–0, with San Giovanni winning 7–6 on penalties.
- Second round: S.S. Virtus defeated S.C. Faetano 4–3; A.C. Libertas defeated S.S. San Giovanni 3–2.
- Third round: S.S. Virtus defeated S.S. San Giovanni 1–0; S.S. Folgore/Falciano and A.C. Libertas drew 1–1, Libertas winning 5–4 on penalties.
- Fourth round: S.S. Folgore/Falciano lost to S.S. Virtus 1–2; S.P. Tre Fiori defeated A.C. Libertas 2–0.
- Semifinal: A.C. Libertas and S.S. Virtus drew 0–0, with Virtus winning 8–7 on penalties.
- Final: S.P. Tre Fiori and S.S. Virtus drew 3–3, with Tre Fiori winning 6–5 on penalties.
Champions: S.P. Tre Fiori. They won the title after defeating S.S. Virtus in the final on penalties.
