Hanno Koffler is a German actor and musician, born on March 25, 1980, in West Berlin. He grew up in Charlottenburg with his three brothers in a working‑class family. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, his family faced hardship and moved to Saxony‑Anhalt when his father lost work. Koffler began acting in small theatre roles as a child. He started acting in films in 2002, with roles in Anatomy 2, and in Marco Kreuzpaintner’s Summer Storm (2004) and Krabat (2008). He later moved to Vienna to study acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar until 2007, performing in plays directed by Klaus Maria Brandauer.

Koffler gained wide recognition with the 2013 film Free Fall, which was a success in Germany and abroad. In 2015 he was nominated for Best Actor at the Deutscher Filmpreis for Härte (Tough Love), in which he plays Andreas Marquardt. The film appeared in the Berlin International Film Festival’s Panorama section and won third place in the Panorama Audience Award.

In 2016 he appeared in the mini-series Rivals Forever: The Sneaker Battle as Rudolf Dassler. In 2018 he starred in Never Look Away, Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck’s Oscar-nominated film. In 2019 he joined the Amazon series Beat as Paul and also appeared in the first season of Pagan Peak. He has a recurring role as Walter Stennes in Babylon Berlin’s third and fourth seasons.
