Party of Bulgarian Social Democrats
PBSD stands for the Party of Bulgarian Social Democrats. It is a Bulgarian social-democratic party formed in 1998 after breaking away from the Bulgarian Social Democratic Party. Based in Sofia, its ideology is social democracy and its color is red. It was part of the Socialist International until 2011.
Under leader Petar Dertliev, the party sought an alliance with the centre-left Coalition for Bulgaria, while its right wing stayed with the United Democratic Forces and kept the original party name.
